Authorities in Manyo County of Fashoda State said allocation of 4,600 plots of land to people who recently returned from neighboring Sudan has started.

Authorities in Manyo County of Fashoda State said allocation of 4,600 plots of land to people who recently returned from neighboring Sudan has started.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Saturday, the county commissioner, Uyath Ochol Otwal said the official handover procedure commenced on Monday.

Commissioner Otwal said that the state government is able to resolve the land problem, but the returnees are still facing several challenges including the lack of drinking water, health and education services.

He appealed to humanitarian organizations to provide services to citizens such as health, education and clean drinking water.
