The African Union said some of their representatives are in France to meet the Sudanese opposition leaders with its military faction to encourage them to sign the roadmap on the negotiation of the two regions and Darfur.
Meanwhile, the SPLA-North rebels claimed their forces defeated government forces in al-Rum area in Blue Nile after heavy battles that cost many deaths and injures form both sides. They said they seized a number of weapons and ammunitions too.
“The SPLM repulsed government forces and seized 10 land trucks and 8 land cruiser and a number of weapons and ammunitions,” said spokesperson Arnu Ngutulu.
Lodi told Radio Tamazuj their forces repulsed an attack by government forces which were trying to capture al-Rum.
Ngutulu revealed three soldiers from SAF were captured and 43 others killed from government side, while 7 were killed from SPLA-N and 15 injured.
