AU deploys force to Juba to hunt down Kony

The African Union has started to deploy a 5,000 strong military force to Juba to hunt down Lord’s Resistance Army commander Joseph Kony. The force will be made up of soldiers from South Sudan, DR Congo and the Central African Republic, the three countries where he is considered most active. ‪Francisco Madeira, the African Union’s special envoy on the LRA told reporters in Entebbe after meeting with AU and UN officials that the force will be stationed in Yambio, South Sudan, near the border shared with DR Congo.
