Attack on UPF students in North Kordofan university

17 students of the United Popular Front (UPF) have been wounded when armed youths loyal to the National Congress Party attacked them in El Obeid University, North Kordofan.

17 students of the United Popular Front (UPF) have been wounded when armed youths loyal to the National Congress Party attacked them in El Obeid University, North Kordofan.

According to a student of the UPF, who prefers anonymity, another two students are missing after the attack. They were still missing on Friday afternoon.

The incident took place when the UPF students were in the political rally within the university, a source who prefers anonymity reported. The attackers were by cars and carrying guns, pistols, and swords. As soon as they got off the cars they started to fire into the air, and subsequently began to attack the students. The 17 wounded students, of whom 5 were badly injured, were taken to the hospital for treatment.
