More than 60 people received treatment in the just concluded medical campaign in Aweil town of Northern Bahr el Ghazal State.

More than 60 people received treatment in the just concluded medical campaign in Aweil town of Northern Bahr el Ghazal State.

The campaign was conducted by a group of doctors affiliated with South Sudan Supreme for Development and Rehabilitation Co. Ltd, an investment company by South Sudanese businessman Ayii Duang.

The campaign at the Modern Medical Hospital took place on Saturday and Sunday. 

“What I can say is that these people (doctors) have come and managed to carry out treatment of some people, especially me who was among the treated people. I had a disease but they were able to operate on me,” said Bol Tong Bol, one of the beneficiaries. 

Angok Akot, a caretaker of his sick uncle, said his uncle has received treatment for a urinary tract infection (UTI) he has been suffering from since May. 

“This man has improved because he was suffering from UTI since May, he has not urinated in the normal way, and he has been using a medical tube. The doctors have successfully implemented a successful operation,” Akot said. 

The company’s representative in the state, Chol Lual also known as Chol Black, said about the five health specialists managed to treat different diseases during the campaign. 

“Five medical specialists have spent two days here and departed Monday morning. More than 60 women and men were treated for different diseases,” he said.
