Sudan’s Military Intelligence has detained without charge unconfirmed number of people including 25 women at Samsur and Boleng areas in Bau locality in Blue Nile State earlier this week, multiple sources said.

Sudan’s Military Intelligence has detained without charge unconfirmed number of people including 25 women at Samsur and Boleng areas in Bau locality in Blue Nile State earlier this week, multiple sources said.

The sources told Radio Tamazuj yesterday that the intelligence officers arrested about 25 women and unconfirmed numbers of men shortly after the killing of two soldiers in an ambush by rebels near Bolen area.

The same source further said the detainees were falsely accused of spying for the Sudan People's Liberation Army-North (SPLA-N) which has been fighting the Khartoum government in Blue and South Kordofan States since 2011.

He pointed out that the detained civilians were taken to Damazin town for investigations.

Radio Tamazuj couldn’t reach military intelligence officers in the area to comment on the matter.
