Unknown armed men killed a South Sudanese soldier in Manyangok County in Tonj State over the weekend, an official said Monday.
Deng Madut, the acting state information minister, told Radio Tamazuj that the incident took place on Saturday.
He said the armed men attacked a commercial truck on March 23 killing the soldier and looting properties of a driver of Somali origin.
The motive behind the weekend attack, however, remains unknown.
