The American and British governments are offering evacuation flights for their citizens due to recent fighting in South Sudan.

For American citizens, two charter flights will leave from Juba to Entebbe on July 14th.

“U.S. citizens wishing to depart on the first flight should arrive to the airport at 8:30 a.m. to be processed. U.S citizens wishing to depart on the second flight should arrive no later than 12:30 p.m. to be processed” the U.S. Embassy in Juba wrote on its Facebook page.

The embassy said it will not collect money for this flight, but passengers will need to pay it back. The loan will be approximately $250, the embassy said.

“Notice to all passengers: (1) Bring a valid travel document (passport); (2) you are restricted to one small carryon; and (3) no pets will be allowed” the American Embassy wrote on its Facebook page.

The British government is also organizing evacuation flights for its citizens.

“If you’re a British national and want to take up this offer, call +44 20 7008 0000” the British government said on its website. It also said that its consular services will be limited.

“British Embassy staff have been on lock down and have reduced to only essential staff in the country. The Embassy’s ability to offer consular assistance is therefore severely limited” the British government wrote.
