Several farmers in Al Tadamon locality in Sudan’s South Kordofan State have complained about a shortage of fuel and restriction on fuel purchases imposed by the Military Intelligence Service in the area.
The complaining farmers told Radio Tamazuj that security agents do not allow them to buy fuel in bulk, while permitting other farmers of the large-scale projects to purchase any quantity of fuel for farming.
They say the move taken by the security agents led to increased prices of fuel to 25 SDG for one gallon. They urged the relevant authorities to allow them buy any quantity of fuel so they catch up with the agricultural season.
