The administration of Al Salam University in Sudan’s West Kordofan State has resolved to close the institution and suspend studies until further notice in fear of protests in the University campus.
The Vice Chancellor of the University of Al Salam, Prof. Makin Abdullah Makin, issued a decision on Sunday suspending the studies until further notice.
The decision comes after protests staged by students for eight days over lack of dormitories after the Students’ Support Fund decided to give the dormitories to female students only leaving male students without shelter.
