The states of Khartoum and Al-Jazeera in Sudan are experiencing escalating military operations between the Sudan Armed Forces (RSF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

On Saturday, the RSF claimed to have repelled a Sudanese Army convoy north of Bahri in the north of Khartoum, inflicting significant casualties and capturing numerous military vehicles.

Intense fighting also continued on Sunday in Al-Managil, in the south of Al-Jazeera State, where sources reported SAF seized control of the Al-Dhakirin area north of Al-Managil, with aerial support.

The RSF reported that the Al-Jaili oil refinery was bombed on Sunday, causing extensive damage and fires in vital installations, and warned that if such attacks continue, they might halt the flow of crude oil from the refinery.

Ali Majok, an advisor to RSF Chief Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, confirmed that the Sudanese Air Force directly targeted the Al-Jaili refinery, destroying several critical facilities. He labeled the attack as regional and racial, following the Sudanese Army’s defeat in Saturday’s battles.
