The Ajuet Mawien Diing Community in South Sudan’s Aweil State has expressed its happiness after hearing that the SPLA Chief of Staff Paul Malong was discharged from hospital in Nairobi and congratulated the government and all communities on the recovery of Gen. Malong.
On 27 December, Malong returned to Juba after one week medical vacation in Nairobi.Gen. Malong was flown to Kenya after he fell unconscious and collapsed in his house in Juba.
Dut Diing Akol, Chairman of the Ajuet Mawien Diing Community, told Radio Tamazuj that they were happy about Malong’s improved health condition. Diing called on South Sudan citizens to pray for the top army commander.
“we are sorry to hear that Malong is dead and so on. we must pray to God to keep Gen. Malong, because Malong has a great role to play in our Nation, and we also pray so that his rivals will have no room to claim his life,” said Dut.
The community leader applauded neighboring Kenya where Malong received good treatment and quick recovery.
