Aid workers distribute supplies to victims of fire in Wau Shilluk

MSF teams have completed a distribution of non-food items kits and local construction and shelter materials to 50 families whose homes were destroyed in a fire that broke out in Wau Shilluk on Sunday.

Three people died and at least 48 shelters were destroyed in an accidental fire that broke out in a displaced persons camp Sunday afternoon.

The items distributed by MSF teams to the  50 households, include tarpaulin sheeting and building materials, as well as household items including jerry cans, buckets, cooking utensils and soap.

Presently, approximately 21,000 persons, about  18,000 of them displaced persons, are living in Wau Shilluk.
