An aid worker with an Italian health organization, Comitato Collaborazione Medica (CCM) was killed and two others injured in an attack by criminals in Tonj South County of Warrap State last week, a local official said.
The victim was identified as Daniel Deng, a clinical officer working with the CCM organization.
Tonj South County Commissioner William Wol told Radio Tamazuj the incident occurred when three aid workers including the driver were in a vehicle carrying medicines and employee’s salaries in one of the health facilities in the area on Friday.
The official accused cattle raiders crossing from Cuibet County in Lakes State of involvement in the incident.
