The Commander-in-chief of the rebel group Sudan People’s Liberation Army-North (SPLA-N), Gen. Malik Agar, on Tuesday reaffirmed his readiness to enter negotiations with the Sudanese government.
He, however, stressed during a press conference that all Sudanese political entities must be included in the talks: “Any effort by Khartoum to sign a unilateral peace accord with the SPLA-N would not stop the war in Sudan”.
Agar further claimed that the people of Sudan differ on how the country should be ruled “with recognition of unity in diversity.”
