Agar and Belle communities of Lakes State have celebrated the decree by President Salva Kiir creating 28 states, among them Western Lakes.
Community membesr in Juba gathered at Nyakuron Cultural Centre on Monday. In a statement to the press, Chairman of Agar Community MP Daniel Deng Monydit thanked the president for creating 28 states in the country, saying this will reduce insecurity.
Monydit pointed out that the persistence of insecurity will affect development and service delivery to the public. Likewise, the leader of the Belle community of Wulu County of Lakes State congratulated the president for answering the calls of the people of South Sudan.
The Advisor to the National Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, William Ater Maciek said the decision taken by the president confirms the vision of SPLM of taking towns nearer to the people.
Agar and Belle are part of Lakes State, which his slated for division into three parts: Eastern Lakes, Western Lakes and Gok State.
