An administrative officer and a policeman were reported killed and the Paramount Chief of Wau County William Kamilo Gaki was injured in an attack by unknown criminals along the Basaliya-Agokazi road in Wau County in South Sudan’s Western Bahr al Ghazal State on Sunday.
The administrative officer was identified as Natali John Hassan.
Brig. General Salah Issa, head of the police patrol in Wau, confirmed the incident to Radio Tamazuj. He pointed out that the victims were attacked while returning from a funeral.
He further said that the victims were riding on a motorcycle.
The wounded Chief Kamilo Gaki is the successor to the paramount chief of Wau County Angelo Bagari who was killed by unidentified men in May.
