Activists urge Babanusa citizens to participate in civil disobedience

Several activists in Babanusa town in Sudan’s West Kordofan State have called on citizens to participate effectively in the upcoming civil disobedience scheduled to take place on Monday to protest against unprecedented price hikes and fuel subsidy cuts.

A member of the teacher’s central committee who preferred anonymity told Radio Tamazuj yesterday that they appeal to all local residents in the state to participate effectively in the civil disobedience on 19 December.

He stressed that the people of West Kordofan are fed up with rising prices of commodities at the market and corruption in the country.
