Activists and journalists: ‘ongoing human rights violations by Sudan government’

The Sudanese Organisation for Defending Rights and Freedoms (SODRF) demands humanitarian access to South Kordofan and Blue Nile state. The group of activists and journalists expressed their concerns over the ongoing violations of human rights by the Sudanese government.They call in particular attention to the ongoing confiscation of newspapers and the false and misleading statements spreaded by the Sudanese government about journalists and activists working in Sudan.Secretary of the organization, Sateh al Hajj, said the voices and complaints of the people affected by these violations should be heard. He called on the people of Sudan to engage in non-violent protests and demonstration to demand justice and protection of their human rights. Al Hajj said his organization is committed to represent citizens whose rights have been violated in courts and to local authorities.
