Fans of the news website Radio Tamazuj are once again able to access the website via the Vivacell network after the telecommunications company took steps to restore access to the site, according to a company representative.

Vivacell customers last month reported that the company cut off access to the website. Users pointed out that they had no problem accessing other news websites on Vivacell network, also confirming that the Radio Tamazuj site remained accessible via other mobile data providers.

Samah Hassan, Acting Managing Director of Vivacell, explained in a message to the radio station today that he began looking into the issue immediately after learning about it from a media report.

“Immediately and personally I requested from my technical team to open a ticket to solve this issue, and they have managed to sort it out; now you can access Radio Tamazuj through Vivacell mobile data services,” he confirmed.

Separately, a Vivacell customer in South Sudan confirmed that access to the site via the network have been restored.

“Actually it was not intended to block your website, it was a missing technical configuration,” added the company official.
