A centre dedicated to supporting more than 200 street children in the contested Abyei region has been closed, prompting the children to turn to a police post for shelter.
The children told Radio Tamazuj they are being treated poorly by police officers, but have no place else to turn.
Malual Dut, a homeless child, said they were not told why the center was closed, but just that they had to vacate the premises. In addition to shelter, the center provided basic services to the children.
