The Abyei Area Administration has asked civil servants not to observe Fridays as working day with immediate effect.

Mading Anyang, the secretary general of the administration, told Radio Tamazuj that the administration decided to make Fridays as a day for cultivation until the period for planting is over in September.

He noted that decision aimed to give time to civil servants to engage in their farms in order to boost food production.

He pointed out that the department of education would continue its work normally. “The employees are expected to resume work on September 7,” he said.
