Officials in South Sudan’s Latjor State say they have received more than 400 South Sudanese who had sought refuge in Ethiopian refugee camps.
Latjor State Information Minister Garkuoth Bim Nyoak told Radio Tamazuj on Monday that the area is experiencing an influx of South Sudanese refugees returning from Ethiopia's Kole refugee camp.
"They are now back to their different areas,” he said.
Bim added that the state government was able to avail basic food supplies to the returnees, although the help was insufficient.
He appealed to aid organizations to provide food aid to the returnees whom he described as being in dire need of humanitarian assistance.
