About 250 S Sudanese refugees arrive in Jidaid Abu Nawara

The Governor of Sudan’s South Kordofan Adam Al Fekki said over 250 South Sudanese refugees arrived in Jidaid Abu Nawara locality recently after conflict intensified in South Sudan.

This announcement came after his visit to Abu Jubaiha and Gadir Localities. The top state official said the security situation is stable in South Kordofan state. He pointed out that the visit aimed at acquainting himself with humanitarian conditions of the South Sudanese refugees as well as local citizens in Kalogi, Gadir and Tusi areas.

In a press statement, El Fekki said the local authorities and international community provided food and medicines to the new arrivals in Jidaid Abu Nawara area.

Governor El Fekki disclosed that the government plans to develop the areas that lie on the borders when the security situation stabilizes in South Sudan. He revealed security coordination between all localities along the border with South Sudan in order to curb insecurity between the two countries.
