ABMC Thai South Sudan Construction Company called an emergency meeting yesterday and ordered employees not to speak to the media, following the publication of an investigative report linking President Salva Kiir to the company.

Employees at the meeting were asked whether any one of them has ever been interviewed by Radio Tamazuj. They were directed not to talk to the media.

More than 24 hours after the publication of the reports about ABMC, the government has not responded to the publications. Presidential Press Secretary Ateny Wek earlier denied ties between Salva Kiir and ABMC when contacted for an interview.

The company management is coordinating with government bodies to formulate a response to media reports.

Meanwhile, National Security Service personnel have reportedly been requested to monitor local newspapers to check whether they re-publish anything from the investigative reports published by Radio Tamazuj.
