89 people who were admitted to Aweil Civil Hospital in Aweil town on Thursday with severe food poisoning have been discharged.

The Aweil civil hospital director, Reec Mathok Diing told Radio Tamazuj this afternoon that the 89 food poisoning victims were treated and discharged after they were hospitalised with symptoms of food poisoning.

The medical director said the patients had symptoms such as vomiting‚ stomach ache and dizziness.

“All of them were treated and discharged from the hospital after two days. The hospital was ready for the cases that came and all the cases were controlled,” Reec said.

The 89 people started to feel unwell after a meal at a party organized at South Sudan Hotel.
