A medical source in Sudan’s White Nile state said 70 children have been admitted at El Salam health center in Kosti town this year.
The source said 20 were in critical condition and referred to Kosti Teaching Hospital for treatment.
Local residents predicted more malnutrition among children due to economic crisis facing families in the area.
