A watery diarrhoea and fever outbreak has claimed seven lives in the Jebel Boma area in South Sudan’s Boma State over the last two weeks, a local official said.
Mr David Philip Omot, minister of health in the state, told Radio Tamazuj on Tuesday that the seven people died of watery diarrhoea and fever, pointing out it was confirmed by a local healthcare centre in the area.
The health official pointed out that health organizations operating in the area had already been requested to send their teams to help contain the situation.
