At least seven people were killed and 11 others injured during an attack two weeks ago in Toling area of South Sudan’s Northern Liech state.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Wednesday, Bul County Commissioner Mathiang Kuol said the attack was perpetrated by a group of Misseriya from the Awlad Omran clan in Sudan.
He said the attackers also made away with about 155 heads of cattle and seven machine guns.
Kuol further said investigations into the incident were launched on Wednesday adding that they have communicated with the paramount chief of Awlad Omran who promised to pay blood compensation and return cattle to their owners.
