7 kidnapped, vehicle burned in Amadi state
Seven people were kidnapped and a vehicle burned to ashes by armed criminals on Tuesday in South Sudan’s Amadi State.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj, Amadi State deputy governor, Manas Labui, said the vehicle belonging to a local construction company was ambushed between Bari and Madeu areas.
He added that the attackers then kidnapped the seven including the driver and retreated to the forest, saying the government was not able to pursue them.
Labui explained that the vehicle was carrying construction equipment for the construction of a school.
He accused the armed opposition forces in Amadi state for the attack.
