Authorities in Cueibet County of South Sudan’s Lakes state have arrested 50 suspected cattle raiders between March and April this year.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Monday, executive director of Cueibet county Shadrek Chol said they have arrested 50 people accused of killing and cattle raiding in the area.
He said the suspects are in Cueibet prison waiting for investigations and to be held accountable for what they have committed.
Shadrek said the security situation has come to normalcy and the county did not register any killing or cattle raid incidents recently.
He added that people have started their agricultural season.
