50% of primary students in Juba displaced camps pass exams

50% of children who sat for the primary leaving examination in the UN's displaced persons camps in Juba passed their exam, according to the UN's Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

OCHA said that support is needed for more learning spaces for over 1000 children in the camps.

"Their chance of joining secondary level are uncertain, given limited secondary school facilities," OCHA warned.

34,674 people live in the UN's camps in Juba, according to the most recent figures.
