Wonduruba chief arrested near Juba (Eye Radio, 6 Feb.) – A chief has been arrested in connection with the killing of 10 men by ‘cattle raiders’ at a village south of Juba last month.
President Kiir protests ICC intervention (Catholic Radio Network, 7 Feb.) – In case the UN Security Council endorses an ICC intervention, the court would have a very limited role since South Sudan is not a member of the Rome Statute, says Kiir.

Sudan police detain gang rape victim for 3 weeks (Sudan Tribune, 6 Feb.) – The victim, now 9 months pregnant, was detained on charges of indecency. Seven alleged perpetrators of the rape are also in custody.
