The police in Bor town of South Sudan’s Jonglei State have arrested 5 men in connection to the theft of goats around the town.

The police in Bor town of South Sudan’s Jonglei State have arrested 5 men in connection to the theft of goats around the town.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Wednesday, Johnson Thon Reng, the director for Bor Town Police operations said the men are also accused of slaughtering and selling meat from the stolen goats.

Thon said they started arresting the suspects since Monday after they received complaints from locals.

“These criminals are from Jonglei and other neighboring states. We arrested 5 of them and 2 goats that they had slaughtered,” he said.

The police official pointed out that the suspects are undergoing investigation, and they will be arraigned in court soon.
