The town of Aweil has received 41 families from Sudan after they fled north from Heglig as fighting broke out.

The commissioner of rehabilitation in Northern Bahr Al Ghazal told Radio Tamazuj that the families were transported today from Kosti to Malakal and then to Aweil.

He said a further 37 families were delayed as a fuel crisis prevented their arrival, and said there were 243 families currently waiting to travel from Malakal to Aweil.
