4 people killed, 5 children abducted in Bieh attacks: official

Four people including women were killed, two others injured and 5 children abducted by armed assailants in separate attacks in Bieh State on Sunday morning, an official said.

James Yien Bhor, the state information minister, told Radio Tamazuj that gunmen believed to be from Boma State launched three separate attacks in parts of Bieh Sate this morning.

 “In Pamai area of Padiek County, two women were killed and another person sustained injuries. Also, 10 children were abducted in Wieckol but 5 escaped and came back,” he said.

He added, “Three traders who were on their way to Duk Padiet County were ambushed by unknown people, two of them were killed and the other one sustained injuries”.

The government official however pointed out that no arrests were made.

For his part, the information minister in Boma State, John Kaka denied knowledge of the incidents.
