Local authorities in Raja County in South Sudan’s Western Bahr al Ghazal State reported that four fishermen were murdered by unknown gunmen in a fishing camp over the last two days.
Raja County Commissioner James Benjamin told Radio Tamazuj the incident took place south of Koro area, about 90 miles east of Raja town. He said the four victims were found tortured before being killed south of Koro area, which is inhabited mostly by fishermen.
The county official pointed out that they sent police force to bury the dead bodies and then pursue the criminals.
Meanwhile in Wau County, a farmer was killed by unknown gunmen in Buseri area, according to a local official. Wau County Commissioner Elia Kamilo Dimo said a group of armed men attacked a farmer on his property at Buseri area on Thursday. Elia said the police authorities couldn’t apprehend the criminals.
