4 dead after attack by unknown assailants in West Kordofan

At least four people were killed in separate attacks by unidentified criminals in Babanusa locality in Sudan’s West Kordofan State on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Al-Nazeer Jibril al-Guni, the emir (paramount chief) of the Zeyoud clan, Radio Tamazuj that two people hailing from Awlad Surur clan of the Misseriya tribe were killed in an attack by unknown assailants on Tuesday.

The traditional leader added that two others were also killed from the Zeyoud clan on Wednesday. Al-Guni confirmed that security forces were still pursuing the perpetrators.

These incident comes days after a peace and conciliation meeting was concluded between the feuding Awlad Omran and Al Zeyoud clans in Ad Daein town of East Darfur state.
