The Abu Zabad Civil Hospital General Hospital in Sudan’s West Kordofan State has recorded four cases of cholera over the weekend, a medical source said.
The source, who preferred anonymity, told Radio Tamazuj on Tuesday that a man and three women were admitted to the hospital.
The medical source pointed out that the health facility does not have full capacity to admit more cholera cases because it lacks medicines, lab equipment and medical personnel.
He predicted that more cholera cases will be reported with the spread of the disease due to the poor hygiene conditions in residential areas and markets.
