At least 37 Sudanese women suspected of prostitution in United Arab Emirates were deported to Khartoum, a consulate official said.

Hamdi Hassab-Al Rasoul, Sudan’s consul in the United Arab Emirates, told Al Tyar newspaper that a man accused of recruiting people as sex workers was also deported to Sudan.

Rasoul said it is very difficult to bring an end to the practice.
