Local Misseriya leaders in Sudanese West Kordofan state say at least 36 people were killed and more than 20 others injured in a cattle raid in northern Abu Kadma area on Sunday.
Hamdi Suleiman, one of the Misseriya chiefs told Radio Tamazuj on Wednesday that suspected South Sudanese soldiers attacked the cattle camp in Saida Hawa where they killed people and stole more than 3,000 head of cattle.
For his part, Ruweng state governor, Them Machar Kuol denied any involvement of the South Sudanese army in the attack.
