In a shocking turn of events, a man only identified as Samuel, 33, on Sunday committed suicide by hanging in Unity State’s Rubkona County, the police said.
Franco Mayiel, the police’s deputy director in Rubkona County, told Radio Tamazuj Monday that the incident occurred at 6:30 on Sunday and that the reason for the suicide remains unclear and the deceased’s colleagues are in shock.
“A man committed suicide on Sunday morning yet he had no known misunderstanding or fight with anyone in the Rubkona area. We truly do not know the reason why he killed himself,” he explained. “We asked his colleagues if he told them anything before killing himself but they said that the deceased did not say anything.”
The police said the deceased worked for a money transfer company called Kulikiir in Rubkona market.
“He committed suicide by hanging himself dead with a rope and his name is Samuel and he was 33 years old,” Mayiel added.”
