Three teenagers accused of robbery in Bor town were found guilty by a High Court on Friday.
John Yel Aleu, the president of the Jonglei High Court, told Radio Tamazuj on Monday that three teenagers aged between 17 and 19 were sent to prison for their role in robbery activities.
“They stole two laptops and phones. The youngest will serve 3 years in a juvenile reformatory facility in Juba. The other two teenagers are 19 years old and will serve 10 years each in Bor prison and will also pay for the stolen items. This is in accordance with section 305 of the Penal Code,” Yel narrated.
Yel pointed out that the convicts have 15 days to appeal the ruling.
