At least three people suspected of raiding a herd of cattle in the Kal-thok area of Awerial County in Lakes State were arrested by security forces on Thursday.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj, the police chief inspector of Awerial County, Bol Tier identified the three suspects as Ateny Amat Ayual, Cuei Geng Cuei, and Ayang Juba.
"These three people were caught up by the joint police and SSPDF forces in petrol at Kal-thok, South of Awerial County of Lakes State on Thursday while they were raiding cattle. Now they are being kept in Kal-thok police custody and they will be immediately transferred to Gulyar police headquarters," said Bol Tier.
Tier said criminal activities have increased in his county, but authorities are discussing how to deal with the rising insecurity.
