Sudanese security agents have arrested three Nuba tribesmen at Farshaya area in South Kordofan’s Dilling locality last week, according to activists.
Several activists from Dilling told Radio Tamazuj that the security agents launched a campaign of mass arrests among political activists, besides harassment of local residents following an attack by the SPLA-North rebel on nearby Habala town recently.
One of the activists accused the local authorities of negatively exploiting a tribal feud between the Arab Hawazma tribe and Sabi clan of the Nuba tribe in Farshaya area.
Three people from the Sabi Nuba tribesmen were arrested allegedly for spying for the rebels, according to the same source. The three detainees were taken to Dilling town last week. They further said others were also detained before being released following grumbling by local residents.
