3 dead, 24 injured after SPLA-N rebels shell Kadugli

At least two women and a child were killed and 24 others including children wounded on Sunday when the SPLA-North rebel group shelled Kadugli town of Sudan’s South Kordofan state.

At least two women and a child were killed and 24 others including children wounded on Sunday when the SPLA-North rebel group shelled Kadugli town of Sudan’s South Kordofan state.

Multiple sources told Radio Tamazuj that the southern part of Kadugli was hit by the shelling, saying the rebel group was stationed in Kurungu area.  

They said the incident caused fear among the local population. 

Separately, the same sources confirmed that the Military Hospital in Kadugli received a number of wounded soldiers belonging to the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF). 

Fighting between Sudan’s army and the Sudan People’s Liberation Army-North rebels is continuing on various fronts in the Nuba Mountains these days.
