At least three people including two children were killed and 21 others wounded in an ambush by unknown gunmen along the Mangala-Pibor road on Sunday.
Illario Paul, Mangala County Commissioner, told Radio Tamazuj yesterday that a commercial vehicle was ambushed by unknown gunmen on its way from Juba to Pibor area.
He further said the incident resulted in the killing of at least three people including two children and wounding of 21 others. The commissioner pointed out that the wounded people were taken to Juba Teaching Hospital for treatment.
“There was a vehicle going from Juba to Pibor around 7:00 am, and it was ambushed by gunmen near Mangala, so three people were killed including two children and 21 others were injured,” said Paul.
Radio Tamazuj couldn’t reach the relevant authorities to comment on the matter.
