Three children are confirmed abducted by unknown gunmen in the area of Ajoope in Pochalla North County of South Sudan's Greater Pibor Saturday night, according to local sources.

The incident occurred when three gunmen attacked two couples at night wounding them and run away. One husband and wife sustained bullet injuries, a source said.

Two of the children are from one family and the third is their cousin who was staying with them.

It was not clear who abducted the children as nobody has claimed the responsibility.
