Security authorities in South Sudan’s Tonj State on Tuesday arrested 25 suspects believed to have been involved in inter-clan conflicts last week leading to the deaths of 10 people.
Tonj state Minister of Information James Ayiek Bath told Radio Tamazuj on Wednesday that conflict erupted between the clans of Reng and Adok Thok of the Apuk Padoc community a week ago after a young man impregnated a girl from the other clan.
He said the girl’s family attacked the family of the man leading to the death of one person.

The minister said at least 1o people were killed and 7 wounded from both communities, noting the suspects will face the full wrath of the law.
