23rd Inter-school Tournament kicks off in Sudan’s Blue Nile

Sudan’s First Vice-President, Lt. Gen. Bakri Hassan Salih will address the 23rd Inter-school Tournament, which starts today (Sunday) in the Blue Nile State, and in which all states of Sudan will participate.

Sudan’s First Vice-President, Lt. Gen. Bakri Hassan Salih will address the 23rd Inter-school Tournament, which starts today (Sunday) in the Blue Nile State, and in which all states of Sudan will participate.

The Khartoum-based Sudan Vision newspaper reported that the accompanying delegation includes ministers of Education, Culture, Youth, Sports, and of Information, along with a number of political, executive and legislative leaders.

The State Minister of Education, Imam Ali Abdallah, explained that Salih will address the opening ceremony.  The event will also be addressed by the governor of the Blue Nile State, the federal Minister of Education as well as the State Minister of Education.

A presidential delegation and delegations of the states will on the first day attend a football match between the teams of Blue Nile State and the Northern State, in addition to cultural activities in the evening.

President Omar Al Bashir will honour the final activities on January 8.
